A: Enter as often as you like. See above for entry fees.
Q: Does artwork I submit to Art Muse Contest have to be available for sale?
A: No. The artwork you submit to Art Muse Contest does not have to be available for sale. However, if you are in the gallery show of Art Muse Contest Winners or are selected for 6 months of representation by Jack Meier Gallery at the end of the year then the artwork you send to the gallery must be available for sale. That artwork may be different than the artwork you submit to the monthly Art Muse Contest and is subject to approval by the gallery.
Q: How old can my artwork be to be eligible for submission to Art Muse Contest?
A: Unlike Social Security, there is no age limit for a piece of art submitted to Art Muse Contest. You may submit old work or current work, it is up to you.
Q: Is there a size limit for my artwork?
A: Your original artwork can be any size however, the photograph you submit of your artwork must follow our submission rules as follows –
- When naming the photographs of your artwork on your computer (this is different than the title), label your images with first and last name, title and category. Lower case letters, no spaces or symbols. Example – suesmithsunnydayemerging.jpg
- Images must be 72 dpi, 1000 pixels on the longest edge and must be JPG.
- Images must be photographed without matting or frames. Only the image must be shown, no view of your dog in the background, regardless of the cute factor.

Q: I accidentally submitted the wrong image of my art, can I change it?
A: Please email for help with that. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to make any changes on your own. Absolutely, no changes will be made after the submission deadline has passed and the contest is in the judging phase.
Q: My artwork won a prize in last month’s Art Muse Contest, am I allowed to enter that same piece into the next Art Muse Contest?
A: We know you’ve got a hot piece of artwork on your hands, however, if that piece of art has already won an award in Art Muse Contest it is not eligible for another award. You are an awesome artist, please submit a different piece.
Q: May I enter all 3 categories in the same month to increase my chances of winning?
A: No. That is called cheating and will disqualify you from the contest and all future contests. Remember, the art world is a small community and you really don’t want to tarnish your reputation like that.
Q: The Master Class category best describes me but, my chances of winning against the Emerging Artists is better, may I enter the Emerging category instead?
A: We are not the painting police and submission to this competition is on the honor system. We do however, reserve the right to move your artwork into another category should we feel that you have submitted work in a category below your skill level.
